Marriage / Children

#1: Isaac Leatherman married Anna Maria Cadarina Berrier (d. 1812), prob. some time in the early 1800s per the birth years of their 3 children (See 1830 US Census, below); marriage confirmed by Cadarina's tombstone.[1]

In the 1830 US Census Isaac has 3 sons. According to the Bible record of Zachariah Leatherman (grandson of Isaac, son of Solomon), the sons were, Rudolph, Solomon and Jonas.
Isaac and Sophia (Heasly) apparently had one daughter, Martha, born in 1815 in Lincoln County, NC. Martha appears in the 1830 US Census, below.

Mr. Bechman, I find that you have edited information for Isaac Leatherman because you do not find him in the 1830 US Census for Rowan County. That is because he is not there. He is living in near-by Lincoln Co., NC with his family. He also appears there in the 1840 Census.. You also state there is no link to his wife's gravestone. That is true, I have not uploaded the image and will do so when time permits. The stone is in Welcome, NC at Beulah Church, formerly Old Pilgrim. The stone is carved in German. It was translated and recorded in church records. It reads Died Dec 1812 31 December, Cadarina Leterman wife of Isaac Leterman died; Born 21 Mar 1784, years old 28.

Regards, Margaret Leatherman
