Biography

Basile Lebrun was born on 10 Feb 1822 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Louis parish in Kamouraska. He was the son of Henri Lebrun, farmer, and his wife Eleonore Boucher. Godparents at Basile's baptism were Basile Miville dit Deschenes and Victoire Dufour. At age 23 Basile married Helene [Dutremble dite] Desrosiers on 28 Oct 1845 in Sainte-Luce parish in Rimouski. Basile died at age 74 on 28 Apr 1896; he was buried two days later in Sainte-Flavie parish.

NOTE: baptismal record gives name as Basile Brun.
