Obituary dated Thursday Evening, June 11, 1829 stated:

"Another Officer of the Revolution Gone. On Saturday last at his residence, on Deer Creek, Harford County, Md, died Parker Hall Lee, Esq - aged 70 years. Of this gentleman it may be truly said, that his long life was one of usefulness- in youth, to his country, and in after age to his family and neighbors. in relations of husband, father, neighbor and friend he was equaled by few. He entered into the military service of his country, as a Lieutenant early in life and passed the struggle of the war of the Revolution with honor to himself and approbation of those worthies, Washington, Lafayette, and Howard under each of whom he served in the perils of battle and privations of war. He was followed to the grave by numerous friends and neighbors, and his memory will be cherished in fond recollections by all that knew him."
