They lived in Jackson, Elkhart County, Indiana, where they raised two sons, Arthur Clarence Charpie (1877-1953) and Porter Firman Charpie (1888-1956). Mary was a member of the United Methodist Church. She passed away on 18 Jan 1945 in St. Joseph County, Indiana. She is buried in the New Paris Cemetery, New Paris, Elkhart County, Indiana, USA.
