When Francis Wesley Lehew was born on April 25, 1837, in Virginia, his father, Eli, was 34 and his mother, Sarah, was 40. He married Sallie Machir (Hopewell) LeHew on May 28, 1868, in Hardy, West Virginia. They had five children during their marriage. He died on December 2, 1918, in Cedarville, Virginia, at the age of 81, and was buried in Front Royal, Virginia.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
