Mary was born about 1636. She was the second daughter of George Leigh.

Mary married Augustine Martyn. Their marriage took place on 15 December 1656 at Upper Swell, Gloucestershire, England.^[1] She was described as Mrs (Mistress) Mary Leigh and he was recorded as Augustine Martyn, clerke. Their children included:
