Peter S. Leonard enlisted with the Sixth Tennessee USA Cavalry on Mar 1, 1864, at Germantown, Tennessee, at age 41. He is recorded as born in Guilford County, North Carolina, with blue eyes, dark hair, a fair complexion, and 5'7".

He mustered out on Jul 26, 1865 at Pulaski, Tennessee.[1]
