Erma Lewis was born on August 6, 1923 in St. Landry, Louisiana, United States, daughter of Louis Lewis (1898–1963) and Louise Arceneaux (1904–1993).[1]
Erma (16) married Chester Joseph Espree (20) (born on July 17, 1919 in St. Landry; son of Eugene Espree Sr. and Rose (Richard) Espree) about 1940 in St. Landry. Their children were:
