General was born on 28 March 1885 in Evening Shade, Arkansas. He was the son of Isaac Robert Lewis and Sarah Elizabeth (Gross) Lewis.[1]

In the 1900 census General (age 15) was living in Strawberg, Fulton, Arkansas, USA.[2]

In the 1910 census General (age 25) was living in Strawberry, Fulton, Arkansas, USA.[3]

When General was 30 he married Della Shaw on 28 November 1915 in Fulton, Arkansas, United States. The couple had one child: Infant Lewis.[4]

In the 1920 census General (age 34) was living in Strawberry, Fulton, Arkansas, USA. Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head: Head.[5]

In the 1930 census General (age 45) was living in Salem, Salem, Fulton, Arkansas, USA.[6]

In 1935 according to 1940 census General (age about 49) was living in Salem, Fulton, Arkansas.[7]
