Victoria's place of birth is listed as Popowice, Prussia in her immigration form.[1]
Immigration
On 5 Jan 1907, Victoria boarded the SS Rhein in Bremen with her mother, Franciszka. On 19 Jan 1907 they arrived in New York City, immigrated into the United States and headed to Milwaukee to meet Franciszka's Uncle Ignatz Lewandowski (who lived at 1224 10th Ave). Popowice, Prussia is listed as her last permanent residence.[1]
Marriage
I have not found any direct evidence of marriages. However, her obituary lists her last name as Sobczak and her daughter as Ruth Raffel.[2] A 1940 Census lists a Victoria with Husband Joseph Sobczak and daughter Ruth S. Luedtke.[3] A 1930 Census lists a Victoria with Husband George Luedtke and daughter Ruth Luedtke.[4]
Victoria re-married Joseph Sobczak before 1940.[3]
Children
Victoria seems to have only had one biological child, Ruth S. Luedtke based on her obituary[2] and 1930[4] & 1940[3] Censuses.
