Rose was born in 1910. She is the daughter of William Lilly and Elizabeth Rice.

THISTLE, Rose Kathleen (nee Lilly) — November 28th, 1910 - January 28th, 2004. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend. Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick`s Mercy Home, Rose Thistle in her 93rd year. Long time resident of Cabot Street. Predeceased by her husband Nat in 1958. Leaving to mourn one daughter Doris Scott (Doug); three sons: Roy (Carmel), Alberta, Nat (Veronica) and Ern; two brothers: Harry (wife Jean, deceased), Eric (wife Cydell, deceased); sister-in-law Jean Lilly, Toronto (brother Abe, deceased). She also leaves to mourn her 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends, especially long time friend Kay Mayo and husband Frank. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral home, 328 Hamilton Avenue from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Funeral Service 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2004 from Barrett`s Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the CNIB or a charity of one`s choice.
