Biography

Nettie F. Linn, daughter of George and Mary Ellen Linn, is found living with her parents in the 1870 and 1880 census at the ages of 5 and 14, respectively. In 1870, the family lived in Liberty, Adams County, Illinois.^[1]. In 1880, they lived in West Point, Hancock County, Illinois.^[2]

About 1882, Nettie married Homer L. Gooding. The couple lived first in Aubry Township of Johnson County, Kansas. They later settled in Fort Collins, Larimer County, Colorado. They are found in the 1900 - 1920 census as follows ...

Homer and Nettie were living in the home of 48-year-old Fred C. Gooding, who likely was a son of Homer born prior to his marriage to Nettie.^[5]

Nettie died in Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colorado on 12 May 1929. She was buried in Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins.^[6]
