Biography

James Lloyd was born on 5 Oct 1812, and christened on 4 Nov 1812 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. He was the son of James and Mary Lloyd. His father's occupation was recorded as watchmaker, and the family's address as Rainhill.

James married Elizabeth Fillingham on 10 Dec 1832 at St John's Church in Liverpool, Lancashire. Both were of Liverpool; James was a watchmaker, Elizabeth a widow. The witnesses were John Saunders and Mary Lloyd.

Their son James was christened on 25 Sep 1833 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. His father's occupation was recorded as watch maker, and the family's address as Whiston.

Their daughter Ann was christened on 7 Jun 1835 at the church of St Mary the Virgin in Prescot, Lancashire. Her father's occupation was recorded as watch maker, and the family's address as Whiston.

By March 30th 1851, the family was living in Great Newton Street, Liverpool; James was a watch maker.

By April 7th 1861, they were in Pembroke Place, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool; James had a watch maker's shop. Ann had married, and she and her husband were living with her parents. In addition, a nephew of James and Elizabeth named John Beddows was in the household.
