According to the 1962 Senate hearing, Carmelo lo Bue, brother of the Corleonese Mafia boss Calogero lo Bue, is born in 1897, the son of Giovanni. A review of the baptismal records and indices does not yield a result for Carmelo. In the indexed record of their marriages, there is a note by Calogero's that he was born in Prizzi. Possibly, Carmelo is also from there.
Carmelo lo Bue, son of Giovanni lo Bue and Anna Marsala, marries Bernarda Marsalisi, daughter of Bernardo Marsalisi and Biagia Vasi, on 27 April 1924. (Unlike his brother's marriage record entry on the same page, there is not a note on this one to indicate Carmelo is born outside Corleone.)[1]
Through Bernarda's sister, Carmelo is the brother-in-law of Giuseppe Morello. Both Giuseppe and Maria Rosa Marsalisi have died by this time.
Carmelo is killed by Luciano Liggio on 3 October 1957.[2]
