Ruth V. (Long) Neill was born on 15 Nov 1829 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, United States. She was the daughter William Long and Ruth Sherrill. She married William Stevenson Neill on 19 Jan 1853. They had at least eight children. Ruth passed away on 20 Jul 1892 in Troutman, Iredell, North Carolina, and is buried in the New Perth Cemetery, Troutman, Iredell County, North Carolina, USA.
