Emily Maud Long, daughter of William Long and Elizabeth Brixey, [1] was born in about November 1870 in Newport, Monmouthshire. [1][2]

On 3 April 1881 in Everton Road, Everton, Lancashire, with her parents William Long and Elizabeth Long, her siblings William Geo B. Long aged 17, Charles Victor Long aged 15, Henry Jas F. Long aged 14, Kate Elizabeth Long aged 12, Frank Corneil Long aged 6, Melville Harcourt Long aged 4 and Adelaide J. Long aged 2 and her grandmother Mary Ann Brixey. [1]
