"July 22, 1710 Jonathan Curtiss late of Lebanon & now of Springfield doth enter his intention of mariage wth Sarah Loomis of Lebanon in Connecticut colony & ye publishmt was posted the same day."
Jonathan Curtis married Sarah Loomis Dec 7, 1710, recorded in Lebanon, Connecticut. They had three children all born in Lebanon: Jonathan, s. Jonathan & Sarah, b. Sept. 15, 1712; Samuel, [s. Jonathan & Sarah), b. Dec. 2, 1715; and Joseph, s. Jonathan, d. August 1718.
Cornelius Birge's wife, Sarah Loomis, has been been identified in many of the Loomis genealogies as the daughter of Joseph Loomis and Hannah Marsh - not the daughter of cousin Thomas Loomis and his wife Hannah Porter.
IN FACT, Thomas and Deacon Joseph Loomis each had a daughter named Sarah. One of the Sarahs married Cornelius Birge (about 1720) ; the other married Jonathan Curtis of Lebanon, CT (about 1710). Based on her date of death, the birth dates of children, and the fact that several of Thomas' immediate kin resided in Bolton, I believe that Cornelius married Sarah, the daughter of Thomas and Hannah Loomis.
