Biography

Margaret was baptized on 22 Dec 1614 in Hurley, Berkshire, England.[1] She was the daughter of Richard Lovelace and Margaret Dodworth.

Margaret married George Stonehouse probably before 1635, when they seem to have had their first child.[2]

They had at least 5 children:

  1. George, born 6 Sep 1635 and bapt. 22 Sep 1635, Hurley, Berkshire, England.[3]
  2. John, born 8 Dec 1636 and christ. 10 Dec 1636, Hurley, Berkshire, England.[4]
  3. Margaret, christ. 26 March 1638, Hurley, Berkshire, England.[5]
  4. James, born 13 Aug 1640 and christ. 20 Aug. 1640, Hurley, Berkshire, England.[6]
  5. Cornelia, christ. 17 Jan 1641/2, Radley, Berkshire, England.[7]

Margaret was buried on 11 March 1695 in Radley, Berkshire, England.[8] She wrote her will in 1694/5 and it was proved in April 1695.[9]
