Lists wife Sarah Lowder “shall retain the use and occupation of the same all her natural life at her decease, it is my will that the Real Estate, viz.: The North West Quarter of the North West Quarter of Section Number Twenty Three in Township Number Fifteen, North of Range Number one East containing Forty Acres be the same more or less, be equally divided among the children of my deceased son Nathan H. Lowder, Also mentions friends David Cox and Seth Hurin as executors. Will dated 7th day of August, 1848. Caleb Lowder signed with his mark. Witnesses: James S. Odell, Joel Hodgin and Jabez Burnett. Caleb Lowder's will was proved in open Probate Court on 14th day of October 1851 before Joshua D. Parker, Clerk.
