John was born in 1907. He was the son of Wilfrid Lowe and Grace Gyte. In 1937 he married Margaret Cuthbert in North East Cheshire. They had two known children. In later life, John lived at 30 Lambton Road, Worsley, Manchester, England. He passed away in Sep 1987. His will was probated on 3 Dec 1987. It is unknown if he was cremated or buried.
In 1911, when he was 4, John lived with his mother and father at 4 & 6 Tamworth St, Lichfield, Staffordshire[2]. [3].
In the 1939 England and Wales Register [4] , he is listed as staying with his wife Margaret and his sister Eileen in the flat above his pharmacy at 133 Mosley Common Road, Tyldesley, now a takeaway. [5]
In later life, John lived at 30 Lambton Road, Worsley, Manchester [6][7]
Occupation
John was a pharmacist and optician, running variously a pharmacy in Mosley Common, and opticians shops in Bolton and 114 Elliott Street, Tyldesley[8]. The Elliott Street shop remained within the family in 2020.[7]
Marriage
John Lowe married Margaret Cuthbert in 1937 in North East Cheshire.[9]
Death
John passed away in hospital in Salford on 11 September 1987. [10] Probate was awarded on 3 December the same year. [6]
