Biography

Hannah Ludlam was born in Southampton, New York, about 1678, the daughter of Henry Ludlam and Jane Shaw.^[1] She married Ananias Conkling of East Hampton about 1696 and lived in Amagansett, New York, where they had a family of twelve children.^[1]

Hannah Ludlam, wife of Ananias Conkling, died 10 June 1752.^[2]

Research notes

Death on 13 September 1748 (only entry for that date) was the wife of Benjamin Conkling - not the wife of Ananias Conkling. Record states 1748 Sept. ye 13 "Died ye wife of Benjamin Conklin, aged about 70"^[3]

Wife of Benjamin Conkling was Abigail King, daughter of Samuel and Francis (Ludlum) King.^[4]
