Biography

The son of Lee Luker and Mary (Hollis) Luker, Otto was born in Wayne County in 1912. He lived with his family in Civil District 8.[1][2]

In 1940, they were enumerated in Civil District 10.[3]

He enlisted in the United States Army in 1940, being inducted at Fort McPherson, Georgia on September 18, 1940 and serving in the Corps of Engineers.[4] He served throughout World War II, being discharged on January 10, 1945.

After the war, he married Willie B. McCaig (1921-2013), the daughter of Walter R. McCaig and Elizabeth Levisa Coble, marrying in Alabama City, Alabama on May 11, 1945.[5]

They made their home in Michigan, and he passed away in Detroit at the age of 72, residing last in Warren.[6][7] He has a memorial in the family plot at Bethlehem Cemetery in Wayne County.[8]
