Biography
Micajah Vidaret Sanders was born in 1832 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He was the son of Wright Luna and Clarissa Sanders.
Micajah married Mary Mitchell Brooks on January 2, 1850, in Marshall County, Tennessee.
The 1850 U.S. Census finds Micajah V. Luna, male, white, age 18, a farmer, living near his father's family. With him is his wife Polly Luna, female, age 25.
The 1860 U.S. Census for District 2, Marshall County, Tennessee, finds the following family: M. V. Luna, male, age 28; Mary M. Luna, female, age 34; Harriet J. Luna, female, age 9; Sarah E. Luna, female, age 6; William R. Luna, male, age 3; John C. Luna, male, an infant; James S. Brooks, male, age 27. All members of the household were born in Tennessee.
The 1870 U.S. Census for District 2, Marshall County, Tennessee, finds the following family: M. V. Luna, male, age 39; Mary M. Luna, female, age 44; H. Jose Luna, male, age 18; W. W. Luna, male, age 13; Jon C. Luna, male, age 11; C. C. Luna, female, age 8.
