Biography

Blanche (Lyes) Aslin was born in Middlesex, England.

Blanch Lyes was born in 1847. She was the daughter of John Lyes and Emma Kennett. ^[1] Blanche was baptised on 22nd March 1852 at St Pancras, Euston Road, Saint Pancras, London. ^[2]

In 1861, Blanche was living with her mother in Aldenham Terrace, St Pancras, Middlesex. She was 13-years-old. Also in the household were three sisters and a brother. ^[3]

In 1867, Blanche married William Aslin. The marriage was registered in Islington, Middlesex. ^[4]

In 1871, Blanche and her husband were living in Islington, Middlesex. There were no children in the home. ^[5]

In 1881, Blanche was living with her husband in Chandos Street, St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex. ^[6]

In 1891, Blanche and her husband were residing in Hertfordshire. Blanche was 44-years-old. ^[7]

In 1901, Blanche and her husband were living in Bushey, Hertfordshire. In the household was a niece by the name of Alice Blanche Tyes (probably Lyes). ^[8]

In 1911, Blanche was 62-years-old. She and her husband were living in Watford, Hertfordshire. Their niece was also in the home. ^[9]

Blanche does not appear to have had any children.

Blanche passed away in 1937 at the age of 89. Her death was registered in Stockton, Durham. ^[10] Her will named Beatrice Jane Thorpe as primary beneficiary and William Henry Thorpe as secondary. ^[11]
