An extensive and interesting history of the Lyne family in Tasmania appeared in the Mercury newspaper in 1926[3] A William Lyne, of Gloucestershire came to Tasmania with his wife and five children (John, William, Elizabeth, Henry and Susannah). In the article it says of Susan that she "Susan Lyne, another sister, married Adam Amos, of Glen Gala, and had a family of eleven, - Jessie, Norman, Anthony, Lewis, Louisa, Owen, Rosina, Ada, Howard, Clarendon, and Mabel."Her sister Elizabeth married a William Hume". They had a brother John.[4]
