Birth Catherine MacGhie or Katherine Makgie is estimated to have been born about 1525.

Marriage Katherine Makgie, married Alexander Menzies 9th of Weem Menzies-148.[1] [2]

19 Feb 1558 They entered into a contract on 19 February 1558, that since they had been living together and had sons and daughters between them, that they would marry and she would be granted a life rent of £40 in her widowhood.[3]

Katherine survived Alexander and remarried before 16 November 1566, to James Ross, brother of John Ross of Craigie.[1]

She was the 2nd wife of Alexander Menzies Menzies-148.

Catherine MacGhie (the Red Book reference in the marriage section below is a phonetic spelling, but does not agree with the Nisbet source in the same section) is referenced in the death record of Alexander her husband via 2nd marriage.[4]
