Elzada Mackie Thomas-Turrentine was born September 19, 1892, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Charles Mackie and Annie burhsa.. She had one daughter with William C Turrentine. She died in April 1968 at the age of 75, and was buried in Ocean Springs, Mississippi According to Theresa on find a grave Elzada married Charles Randolph Thomas first than William Charles Turrentine, so her name would be correctly be Elzada Mackie Thomas Turrentine .
Before Elzad married William and Charles she was married to Donald Frederic Bergtorfin 1924. The marriage lasted two years as Donald passed in 1926. It is unclear if Joyce Mae is the biological daughter of Elzada or her step daughter.
Elzada is buried at Evergreen Cemetery Ocean Springs, Jackson County, Mississippi, United States.
