Ralph Makin was born in about 1859 in St Helens, Lancashire.
Ralph married Martha Alice.
Their daughter Lillie was christened on 6 Aug 1885 in Parr.[1]
By April 5th 1891, they were living at 128 Pocket Nook Street, Parr. They had one child, Lillie, aged 5. Ralph was working as a general labourer, and they had a boarder, 20-year-old Ebenezer Turton, who was a barman.
Their daughter Margaret Alice was born in about 1899 in St Helens.
Their son Arthur was born in about 1900 in St Helens.
By March 31st 1901, they were still in Parr; Ralph was a sheet glass maker.
By April 2nd 1911, they were living in Windle, and Ralph was a coal miner.
