Biography
George Armitage Maloney was born on September 4, 1864. He married Matilda Ann Myers on November 21, 1888, in Greene, Tennessee. George was the proprietor of the Albany General Store. He also served as the Postmaster for Albany Tennessee. George and Matilda "Tilda" adopted their nephew George Lee Allen after George's sister Laura Maloney Allen died during childbirth in 1892. He died on November 8, 1909, at the age of 45, and was buried in the Carters Station Cemetery in Albany Tennessee.
