Research Notes
The date for the marriage is listed as 1840, but this seems unlikely and there is no source given for that date. In the 1850 United States Census, there are three Frazer children listed who are over ten years of age. Either Hannah and William married before 1840, or these children are William's from a prior marriage.
Ancestry.com family tree for frazer2501 indicates that the husband for Hannah Manchester was a William Frazer born 20 Mar 1806 in Rhyal, Parish of Auchindoir, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This means that he would NOT be the father of Granville Harmon Frazer. The source for this record is indicated to be a Bible brought from Scotland by William Frazer.
The Find A Grave memorial for Stephen Manchester (1799-1882) , the brother of Hannah in the 1880 census, indicates that he was the son of Thomas Manchester and Elizabeth (Kelly) Manchester. It also indicates that he had a stepmother by the name of Abigail Redding.[16] Hannah's death record indicates that her mother's name was Abbi. This Abbi is most likely also her stepmother since Hannah was born in 1814 and Elizabeth Manchester didn't die until 1816. Elizabeth would have been alive and the spouse of William at the time of Hannah's birth.
