John William Manes was born on September 9, 1893, in St Joe, Arkansas, his father, Williamson, was 36 and his mother, Mary, was 21. He married Euve "U V" Nunley on October 30, 1917, in Sebastian, Arkansas. He died on October 24, 1935, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 42, and was buried in Dardanelle, Arkansas.[1]
