Biography
Calogera Mangiameli is born and baptized on 19 January 1844, named after her paternal grandmother. She is the daughter of Domenico Mangiameli and Gaetana Cascio. Her godparents are Giovanni lo Bello and Biagia Cascio, a married couple.
Calogera has a sister with the same name, born the following year, which indicates that the older girl has died by this time.
