Vincenzo Mannina is a Corleone native resident, the son of Giovanni Mannina and Anna Sciortino. Based on his reported age at death, Vincenzo is born around 1709. I estimate he is born in 1714, the year his parents marry.
First Marriage, to Giuseppa Giunta
Vincenzo marries Giuseppa Giunta on 10 November 1748. His parents are both still living.
Vincenzo and Giuseppa have at least five children: Anna (1752), Giovanni (c. 1756), Domenica (c. 1763), Francesco (c. 1767), and Cira (c. 1768).
I estimate Anna is 20 years old (b. 1752) when she marries.
Giovanni is born around 1756, based on his reported age at death. This makes him seventeen at marriage.
I estimate Domenica is 20 years old (b. 1763) when she marries.
Francesco is born around 1767, based on his reported age at death.
Cira is born around 1771, based on her reported age in the 1811 stato delle anime. However, her mother has died by this time. I estimate she is born around 1768, the year before her father remarries.
Second Marriage, to Domenica Palumbo
Giuseppa has died by the end of 1768. Vincenzo remarries, to Domenica Palumbo, on 8 January 1769.
Domenica and Vincenzo have at least five children: Leoluca (1769), Angela Maria (1774), Biagio (1777), Giuseppa (c. 1777), and Salvatrice (1779).
Leoluca is born and baptized 30 November 1769. His godparents are Maestro Salvatore and Anna Marua Petruso, mother and son.[1]
Angela Maria is born 4 November 1774 and baptized the next day, named after her maternal grandmother. Her godparents are Maestro Giuseppe and Anna Badulato, a married couple.[2]
Biagio is born and baptized 11 June 1777. His godparents are Gaetano and Caterina Streva, son and mother, wife of Gaspare.[3]
I estimate Giuseppa is around the same age as her husband, based on his reported age at death.
Salvatrice is born and baptized 3 June 1779. Her godparents are Maestro Vito and Anna Macaluso, a married couple.[4]
Anna marries Santo Collura on 12 January 1772.
Giovanni marries Angela Mondello on 21 November 1773.
Domenica, Vincenzo's daughter from his first marriage, marries Giuseppe Pisciotta on 12 January 1783.
Death of Vincenzo
Vincenzo dies at age 78 (b. 1709---he is at least five years younger than reported) on 31 August 1787. His second wife, Domenica, survives him.[5]
Giuseppa marries Amodeo Mondello on 12 January 1800.
Giovanni dies at age 54 (b. 1756) on 15 February 1810. His wife, Angela, survives him.
Francesco dies at age 60 (b. 1767) on 11 January 1828. His wife survives him.
Giuseppa and Amodeo's son, Leoluca, is a notorious criminal who is killed with one of his associates in 1836.
Cira's husband dies in the 1837 cholera epidemic. She does not remarry before her death, reportedly at age 60 (she is around 72) on 11 March 1843.
