Stuart Henry Wilmore Manning was born on 30 August 1865, at Nelligen, New South Wales, Australia.^[1] He was the son of Henry Manning (1821-1873) and Charlotte Millicent Nicholls (1830-1913).

Stuart married Alice Maud Fox (1864-1951) on 10 August 1892, at Ashfield, New South Wales, Australia.^[2]

They had two children.

• Henry Stuart Manning (1893-1895)
• Alice Wilmore Manning (1896-1973)

He passed away on 10 April 1897, at Nelligen, New South Wales, Australia.^[4] Stuart is buried at Saint Anne's Church Cemetery, Ryde, New South Wales, Australia.^[5]
