Biography

He was the son of Revolutionary War Veteran, Marcum "Mark" Lott Manning I & Margaret Spalding/Spaulding. He was the grandson of Moses II & Keziah Lott Manning

He married Candace Brimberry - parents of John Williamson, Ascena L. (female), Mahala, Milam, Travis, Mary Jane, Harriet & Margaret - the children were all born in AL except Harriet & Margaret who were born in TX - after Candace died he married Penelope E. Stewart (widow of Omer E. Sheeler) about 1871

He is buried at Manning-Brimberry Cem, Walker Co., TX
