Leuntje Marijs was born one of a twin in 1748. She was the daughter of Pieter Marijs de Jonge and Maatje Schouts. Leuntje was baptized Dutch Reformed on December 4, 1748. The baptism witnesses were Abraham Marijs and Willemijntje Kappers.^[1]The mother was buried the same day.
