Lucy (Marlor) Frost was born in Oldham, Lancashire, England.

Lucy Jane Marlor (the second of the name, her older sister dying just a few months earlier) was born in March 1841, in Oldham, Lancashire, England, the daughter of Thomas Marlor, a cotton spinner, and Isabelle Revell, with her birth being registered in the 2nd Quarter at Ashton,[1] and was baptised on the 30th May the same year, in the church of St Mary, St Denys and St George, Manchester, Lancashire. Someone Johnson officiated.[2]

On the 6th June 1841, the 3-month-old Lucy was living with her family on Cheapside, Oldham Cum Prestwich, Lancashire. Home at the time were her father: Thomas, a cotton spinner; her mother: Isabella; and her siblings: 12-year-old Anna; 10-year-old Henry; and 5-year-old David.[3]

On the 30th March 1851, Lucy, now a 10-year-old scholar, was living on George Street, Oldham Below Town, with her family. Those home at the time were her father: Thomas (42), a brickmaker; her mother: Isabella (43); David (15), also a brickmaker; 7-year-old William Thomas, also a scholar; 5-year-old John, yet another scholar; and 3-year-old James.[4]

Lucy's mother died in February 1861, after 33-1/2 years of marriage and nine children.

Lucy was a Housekeeper.

On the 7th April 1861, the now 19-year-old Lucy, a Housekeeper, was living with her family on Whitehead Square, Oldham. Home at the time were her recently widowed father: Thomas (54), a cotton waste dealer; and her younger brothers: 15-year-old John, a brickmaker; and 13-year-old James, also a brickmaker.[5]

Lucy and John Frost were married on the 15th October 1864, in Salford, Lancashire,[6] subsequently having seven known children, four daughters, and three sons:

  3. John George (1869–?)
  4. William (1870–?)
  5. Robert Butler (1872–?)
  6. Florence (1873–?)
  7. Annie (1877–?)

On the 2nd April 1871, Lucy (29) was living with her family at 36 Nursery Street, Pendleton, Lancashire. Also home at the time were her husband: John (33), Manager of Silk Business; her children: 3-year-old Lucy; 1-year-old John George; and 4-month-old William; and 21-year-old Hull, Yorkshire-born Hannah Snow, general domestic duties.[7]

On the 3rd April 1881, Lucy (40), was living at 40 Manchester Road, Pendlebury, Lancashire, with her family. Home at the time were her husband: John (44), Silk Manufacturer and Furnisher; and their children: Lucy (13), a scholar; 7-year-old Florence; and 4-year-old Annie.[8]

On the 5th April 1891, Lucy (50) was living with her family at 50 Manchester Road, Irlams o' th' Height, Pendlebury. Those home at the time were her husband: John (53), a Silk Merchant; her children: Lucy (23); John George (21), a clerk; William (20), also a clerk; Robert Butler (19), a Houseman; Florence (17); and Annie (14); and their household help: Rotherham, Yorkshire-born Sarah Whorin (32), general domestic duties.[9]

On the 31st March 1901, Lucy (60) was living at 33 Mayfield Road, Eccles, Lancashire, with her family. In residence at the time were her husband: John (62), a silk agent; their son: William (30), an accountant's clerk; William's 29-year-old Birkenhead, Cheshire-born wife: Jessie Margaret née Harkness; and their 1-year-old daughter: Eccles, Lancashire-born Dorothy.[10]

Lucy Jane Frost née Marlor passed away in 1904, in Cheshire, England, aged 63 years, with her death being registered in the 3rd Quarter at Wirral.[11]
