Biography
Benoit was born in 1856. He was the son of Joseph Marquis and Julie St Jorre-Sergerie. He married Catherine St Germaine on July 25, 1880, in Nova Scotia, Canada. They had four children during their marriage. He died on November 23, 1918, at the age of 61, and was buried in Madawaska, New Brunswick, Canada.
