Martha Martin was from Missouri. Her parents and siblings are unknown at this time. She married a Kentuckian, Archibald Albright, on Aug 27, 1849, in St. Louis. She was 19 years old and he was 36. It is not known how they met. They lived in Illinois: 1950 census places them at Point Precinct, IL. Their first two children (Benjamin and James) were born in Illinois. Sometime between October 1852 and 1853, they moved to Rockcastle county Kentucky, the family place of Archibald. Benjamin, their first born, died at the age of 3 in 1853 in Kentucky. Archibald signed a deed in October, 1953 for a 300 acre farm for which he paid $575. Martha bore six more children at this farm. After Archibald died in 1879, Martha moved to Brodhead, Kentucky so her children could go to school. She live another 20 years and is buried in the Albright Homested Cemetery beside her husband.
