Biography

Kezia Martin, daughter of Charles Martin and Ann Daniel, was born 30 Nov 1868 in Moonta, South Australia. ^[1]

Kezia Martin married George Henry Hancock on 25 Dec 1889 at the BC Church Wards Mill Tickera, South Australia. ^[2]

She passed away in 1932 ^[3] and was buried in Condowie Cemetery. ^[4]

Mrs. Kezia Hancock, who died at Snowtown recently, was the second daughter of the late Charles and Annie Martin, of Moonta. She was born on November 30, 1868, and lived at Moonta until her marriage with Mr. George Henry Hancock, on Christmas Day, 1889, at Wokurna. They lived first at Wiltunga and from there went to the West Coast. In 1899 Mr. and Mrs. Hancock settled on a farm near Snowtown, and subsequently went to live in the town. Mr. Hancock died some years ago. She leaves three sons— Messrs. Martin Hancock, of Adelaide; John S. and Ralph Hancock, of Snowtown; and four daughters, Mesdames T. Finch, C. Sjorberg, and L. Rose, of Snowtown, and F. Chance, of Papua.
