George was 12 in the 1880 census, but wasn't listed in the 1870 census.
This is a strange family to trace. George A. Marvin clearly shows up in the 1920 census as an evangelistic minister, born about 1869 in Arkansas, his father born in South Carolina, and his mother in England. He was married to Mary V., born about 1860 in Texas, with a child, Thelma, born about 1906 in Texas. They lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
It should be easy to find them in the 1910 census. However, the 1910 census lists 44-year-old gospel minister, George A. Marvin, born in Tennessee, as were his parents, married (about 1893) to 39-year-old Kate, born in Texas. They lived in Justice, Texas. Four-year-old Thelma is there, along with 5 other siblings (16-year-old Ruth, 14-year-old John, 11-year-old Grady, 9-year-old Maud, and 9-month-old W??vin, all born in Texas). I cannot find any of this family in the 1900 census.
Grady H. Marvin registered with the WWI Draft. He was born Nov. 28, 1898. He lived in Royce, Rockwell, Texas. His nearest relative was his father, G. A. Marvin. In 1920, he lived in Justice, Texas.
