Henry Maslen was born on August 1, 1840 in All Cannings, Wiltshire, England, United Kingdom, son of James Maslen (1802–1875) and Anne Hiscock (<1816–1844).[1]

Henry immgrated from All Cannings, England through Liverpool, England leaving on 12 April 1864 on the ship "Sultana" arriving in Maryborough, Queensland 29 July 1864. [2] Henry travelled alone with his future wife Ann (27) aboard. Ann first married Thomas Black who died 3 months after their marriage then married Henry almost 2 years later.

Henry (26) married Ann Abbott (30) (born in 1836 in Lisnaveane, County Monaghan, Ireland) on March 28, 1867 in Maryborough West, Queensland, Australia.[3] The marriage record has his wife as Ann Black as Ann Abbott had previously married Thomas Black who died 3 months after their marriage.

His son was Henry Thomas Maslen (1874–1945).

Henry died on August 10, 1916 in Childers, Queensland, Australia, aged 76.[4] Henry was mentioned on a memorial in Apple Tree Creek Cemetery, Apple Tree Creek, Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia with a death date of 1916.[5]
