James was born in 1876.[1] He is the son of James Mathes and Rose Kennedy. He was of medium height with black hair and brown eyes.[2] He married Lizzie Rhodes on 6 Jan 1897 in Marshall, Alabama, USA.[3] He died in 1963.[4][5][6]
