Biography

Henry was born in 1712 to Francis Matteson and Sarah Nichols in Warwick, Rhode Island.

In 1740, Henry married Rachel Green in Warwick.

Henry's will is written on 19 September 1756 and proved on 13 December 1756 in Warwick, Rhode Island.^[1] His inventory was recorded on 13 December 1756.^[1]

FRANCIS^2 MATTESON (Henry^1 ) b. Mar. 15, 1680, East Greenwich, R. I., d. 1751, m., May 22, 1702, Sarah Nichols, dau. of Richard and Phoebe Nichols. He settled in Warwick, R. I. Was Deputy in 1734 and 1748.

His will, dated March 20, 1751, proved April 28, 1750, gave

To sons Francis and Henry my quarter of farm in Pine Swamp.

To son Henry half of homestead, and the other half a year after death of wife,

To sons John, Francis, Henry, Thomas, Job and dau. Sarah Corey, Hannah Whitford and Elizabeth Matteson, the rest of moveables, equally, except my wife's bed etc.

To son Henry all bonds, notes, blacksmith tools etc.
