Biography

When John Carter Mathews was born on 12 September 1832, in Norwich, Windsor, Vermont, United States, his father, John Matthews, was 51 and his mother, Cynthia Bradley, was 41.[1][2]

He married Lucia Ann Jennison in 1861, in Peacham, Caledonia, Vermont, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters.[3][4][5][6][7]

He lived in Vermont, United States in 1870 and Hartford, Windsor, Vermont, United States for about 10 years.[8][9]

He died on 21 January 1916, at the age of 83, and was buried in Norwich, Windsor, Vermont, United States.[10][11]
