Biography
Solomon was the son of Glover Mathews & Luann McDaniel. He married Alice M Jones on 8 December 1874 & they had 3 children.
On 3 Jun 1880, John E Constant, as enumerator for Buffalo Hart Township, Sangamon County, Illinois, reported the Solomon Matthews household in between H. Clay Constant and Frank Shanlo households.[1]
Solomon Matthews 33 (1847, self, married) b. Illinois and both parents born in Kentucky.
Susan Matthews 25 (1855, wife, married) she and her parents all born in Illinois.
Gilbert Matthews 3 (1877, son, single) he and his parents all born in Illinois.
Susan Matthews 10m (1879, daughter, single) she and her parents all born in Illinois.
He married Fidelia Hester Jones on about 1885 & they had 5 children.
