Biography

Jacob Mattice is the descendant of Palatine migrants.

Jacob was born in 1810.[1] His baptismal record gives the birth date but not the place. The baptism took place in what is now Cobleskill, NY. However, this father appears on the 1810 census in Broome, Schoharie Co., NY, so one could suppose that Jacob was born at home in Broome.

Jacob married Mary Parks, Feb. 6, 1831, Broome, Schoharie Co., NY, USA, Mattice Family History below.

He passed away Apr. 8, 1891. [2] He is buried in the Breakabeen Cemetery, Breakabeen, Schoharie, Co., NY His headstone includes his wife, Mary Parks, and son, Henry M. Mattice and his wife, Georgeanna Dudley.

The 1850 census below shows several Mattice families living near each other, including the father, Lawrence, age 84.
