Laura Lucinda Mattson Olston was born 6 April 1846 in Mason, Illinois. She is the daughter of John Mattson and Keziah Campbell.
She married Thomas John Olston of Norway (1851–1906+) 10 December 1868 in Menard, Illinois. They had:

It is unknown when Laura died, but after 1885 and likely in Mason, Illinois.
Thomas married Elizabeth Hall Rose 13 October 1889 who must have helped raised the younger children. He then married Lalitha Smith Wall 5 November 1906 in Oklahoma.
