Biography

Margaret Mauldin is mentioned as the second wife of Surrey Davis with few details in the "Descendents of Surry Davis" document.^[1] It also claims that they had eight children in addition to the first four from his first wife. Margaret was the sister of Surrey's first wife Sarah Mauldin, and married him after her sister's death around 1795.

FamilySearch has no identifiable documents for her, although she is listed in several pedigree charts for Surrey Davis.^{[2] [3] [4] [5]} However, even those references are suspect as she would have either been 11 years old or in her late 90s when the marriage took place. More research is needed to place Margaret and Sarah into the proper Mauldin lineage.

She and her sister Sarah are also listed in an Ancestry.com research list message on Surrey Davis, but no primary sources are listed.^[6]

Other than the approximate marriage date, no other information is available as to her actual birth or death dates, including burial information.
