This indenture made the Twenty third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six between John May, James Cobb, Balaam May, Beckom May, Elizabeth May, Mary May and Sarah May of the county of Wilkes and state of Georgia of the one part and Issac Ball of the county and state aforesaid of the other part.Witnefseth that the said John May, James Cobb, Balaam May, Beckom May, Elizabeth May, Mary May and Sarah May for and inconsideration of the sum of two hundred pounds Sterling to them in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof they do acknoeledge hath granted bargained sold alinated and released unto the said Isaac Ball his heirs and apigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land.Situate lying and being in the county and state aforesaid (now Warren County) on Beaver Dam Creek, butting and bounding as follows North by Samuel Newsoms land east by Jospeh May south by Isaac Ball and others, west by William Heathron and runs as follows ( ) Beginning at a hickoryEast lO9.50 to a W. oak, cornerThence south 55 chains to a Black Jack CornerThence W. 109.50 links, Thence North 55 chains to the beginning Hickory, containing by estimation six hundred acres of land.All and singular the said premises herby granted with every of the appurtenances without the least hindrance molestation intervention or denial of them the Sd John May James Cobb, Balaam May, Beckom May Elizabeth May, Mary May and Sarah May for themselves and their heirs.The said bargained land and premises with every of their herditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging; unto the said Isaac Ball his heirs and apigns shall and will warrant and forever defend as the claim and emand ofall personswhatsoever according to the true intent and meaning of these presents; In witnep whereof the said John May, James Cobb, Balaam May, Beckom May, Elizabeth May, Mary May and Sarah May. hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and date abovewritten signed sealed and delivered in the presences of Wm.Averit Jonathan YoungbloodElisha PruitRebeckah Ball John May Balaam May James Cobb Susannah Cobb Georgia Personally came before me William Averit and Elisha Pruit Warren and proved the within deed agreeable to law the sixth of July 1796.
